DePuy Artificial Joints

What are DePuy Artificial Joints?

DePuy Artificial Joints are manufactured by DePuy International, which is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.

Between the years of 1990-1999 they manufactured hip and shoulder joints made in parts from a plastic called polyethylene and many people underwent surgery to have these joints fitted.

It was then found that the polyethylene was deteriorating faster than it should have and some patients were requiring a second surgery as the deterioration was caused the whole joint to be more susceptible to wear and tear.

Injured by Depuy Artificial Joints?

If you have suffered an injury as a result of having a DePuy artificial joint fitted or if you have needed to undergo a second surgery earlier than expected as a result of a DePuy artificial joint deteriorating, then you may be entitled to make a personal injury claim for compensation.

All injury claims are subject to strict time-limits; therefore you should seek immediate claim advice. For more information about time-limits contact us or visit our questions answered page.
