Thompsons Solicitors, the national trade union and personal injury law firm, has appointed eight new partners as part of its new partnership entry programme

The eight are: Vaughan Gething from Cardiff, Richard Grayson - Plymouth, Reuben Greenwood - Nottingham, Andrew Hutson - London, Philip Liptrot - Manchester, Clare Mellor - London, John O’Neill - Belfast and Tristram Sterry - Sheffield.

The Thompsons partnership entry programme is running for the first time this year to encourage progression and development. It lays down the challenge for individuals to step up to the role of partner and take on an organisational perspective to add value to the firm.

Stephen Cavalier, Thompsons chief executive designate, said: “The appointment process was rigorous and very competitive, with the quality of applicants being extremely high. The panel saw a wealth of talent, ideas and potential across the firm, which augurs well for Thompsons in the future.”
