Maxine: After mark had had the accident, I was given some information from the spinal unit, where the spinal association have a directory of solicitors that they recommend. I noticed that Thompsons had offices all through, like, the north east. I went on to the website, and sort of did a little research on the company and of the people who had used them. I decided to go with Thompsons after reading the write up on the website.
I can only say great things about Thompsons Solicitors. Also the people who work with them. They were just so professional and I believe that when we were in the court that the opposition solicitors also respected Thompsons, which I think says a lot.
Thompsons kept in touch with us on a very regular basis and Thompsons came to the home out of hours on an the evening, which made it great for me that I didn’t have to ask my employers for time off work and it was easier for Mark, rather than getting in and out of the car.
Thompsons arranged for the likes, sort of what you say, occupational therapists and people who could advise on what type of care Mark was going to need in the future.
After the case was all completed and Mark received the compensation which was a lot more that we ever expected, he was able to buy a bungalow, have it adapted, which gave him back some form of independence and made him feel better about himself.
He also bought himself a car, so he felt like his friends. He was driving, he had his own place, and it showed him that he was going to have a life again after the accident.
As satisfaction goes, I couldn’t have asked for anything more that what Thompsons did for Mark. It’s turned his life round. He’s now playing wheelchair rugby, he’s been able to, sort of, afford these things, like his car and his bungalow through the professional job done by Thompsons.
Mark: Today I’m getting on with moving forward with my life and I’m grateful for how Thompsons have helped with it all.
