Successful Personal Injury Claims
Below, you will find just a few examples of personal injury compensation claims which William has successfully handled from the Wimbledon office.
Manual Handling Injury Claim
William's client in this case was a man who was employed as a service technician working on the railways. On the day of his accident he was trying to complete a particular task which required a specialist tool but this tool was not available. It had become normal procedure in the workplace to use a spanner as a substitute when the specialist tool was not available but it required the use of a lot more force.
Whilst trying to complete the job with the spanner, the client injured his shoulder and x-rays showed that he had damaged the ligaments. He was off work for a long time and was in a lot of pain.
William recovered over 20,000 personal injury compensation for his injured client and he was very happy with the outcome, particularly as his employers took steps to ensure the correct tools would always be available in the future.
Hand Crushed in Accident at Work
In this case, William's client was a train driver who was injured in an accident at work. He was in the cab of his train which was very hot so he decided to open the window. The window was very stiff and as he pulled it with one hand, he steadied himself by holding onto the door frame with the other hand.
When the window eventually opened, the rush of air into the cab caused the door to slam and the man's hand was crushed.
He was in pain for several weeks and William recovered a sum of compensation for him which he was very happy with.
