Thompsons' solicitor elected to UKABIF Executive Committee

The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum

Congratulations to Paul Brown on his election to the position of Secretary on the Executive Committee of the United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF).

UKABIF is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to promote understanding of all types of acquired brain injury through education and information. The service is aimed at professionals, service providers and policy makers and their work includes campaigning for improved brain injury services in the UK. More information on UKABIF can be found on their website www.ukabif.org.uk.

Paul Brown said: "I’d like to thank the membership for electing me to the committee. I am excited and honoured to have this opportunity to contribute to the important work of UKABIF. Suffering brain injury is traumatic, not just for the person but also for their family and carers. Raising awareness and understanding of brain injury and its effects is something that I am very passionate about. I hope that by continued lobbying of the current government that existing brain injury services will not only be preserved but also expanded to meet the clear current needs of brain injury survivors, their family and their carers in the UK."

Other members on the committee include:

• Professor Mike Barnes (Chair)
Professor of Neurological Rehabilitation, Hunters Moor Neurorehabilitation Ltd
